What can I expect with Liposculpture?

Following your procedure, you will see a generalized improvement in the contour of the treated area. The high-definition liposuction device’s vibration gently removes the fat while still preserving the connective tissue, nerves, and vascular bundles that all help support your skin to the muscle wall. Additionally, hi-def liposuction stimulates collagen production for up to 6 months post-treatment.

Immediately following your procedure, you will be dressed in a compression garment that should be worn for 8 weeks, with best results seen if worn for 6 months. Since no general anesthesia is used, after the procedure you will be able to walk on your own. However, we will provide assistance to your transportation after surgery. Most patients feel tender and sore in the treated areas as if they had rigorously exercised. Nonetheless, this discomfort resolves within days after the procedure. Most patients feel well enough to return to work within 48 hours.

Excessive skin folds with large volumes of fat removed often tighten up considerably during the recovery period, and most patients have excellent results with liposuction alone (without tummy tuck surgery). However, hi-def liposuction will not necessarily improve irregularities (e.g., stretch marks) in the skin that were present before the procedure. Vital Connection MD offers skin tightening and skin lifting procedures that are non-invasive or minimally invasive. In addition, we offer packages that smooth the skin on the torso and legs. We can lessen the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks and address small fatty deposits not appropriate for surgery. What makes VCMD liposuction different?

Is Liposculpture painful?

After treatment with high-definition liposuction, most patients experience very little pain and describe the recovery as compared to the soreness felt after a high-impact workout. The patient is given oral medications before the procedure. Lidocaine, the primarily used anesthetic, provides the patient with significant, if not almost complete pain-relief once the tumescent fluid is infused. How long is the recovery time for liposculpture?

Patients feel much better faster with VCMD post-operative care. Most patients are well enough to return to work within 48 hours. Surgery is a journey for ALL patients. It is important to understand that you will not have your sculpting’s final results for at least 6-12 months. You can expect to see most of your results by 3 months, but scar tissue takes months to reorganize. Please be patient with your body and with us as you go through this process.

Does the fat come back after liposculpture?

No. After your High-Definition Liposuction treatment, the fat cells will never regenerate in the treated area.
